This course will provide an opportunity for architects and designers to expand their thinking on sustainability issues with a focus on materials and resources. Lisa K. Waxman, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Interior Architecture & Design at Florida State University. A LEED AP with a specialty in Interior Design and Construction (ID+C), Lisa developed the sustainability curriculum for the interiors program at FSU. She serves on the board of directors for the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), the interior design accrediting body for colleges and universities. Her service to the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) includes many roles, including the 2011-2012 president. She was awarded the 2019 Arnold Friedmann Educator of Distinction by IDEC for her contributions to the profession.
